TimeTurtle
You're a
time-traveling turtle.
Every day you visit 5 moments in history. Slide your shell to when you landed, anywhere from AD 1 to today. The closer you get, the more points you score.
How to play
- You're a time-traveling turtle. Each day's trip has 5 stops in history: 2 easy, 1 medium and 2 hard.
- Slide the π’ to when you think you landed, from AD 1 to today: ποΈ Ancient Rome, π° Middle Ages, β΅ Age of Exploration, π Industrial Age, π Modern. For an exact year, type it in the box below the slider.
- Score up to 100 points per stop, depending on how close you are. Your trip's score is the average of your 5 scores Γ 10, so 1,000 is a perfect landing.
- After each answer, tap how hard it felt. Your ratings help us tune future puzzles.
- Share your score and come back tomorrow for a new trip. Slow and steady keeps your streak alive. π’
- Want more? Practice has themed side trips: US History, European History, Sports and Technology, each with its own calendar.
Scoring is based on how close you are compared with how long ago it happened. For recent events you lose about a point per year off; for older history the scale stretches, so a guess within a few percent still scores big. Every guess scores at least 1. Tip: press and hold + or β to move faster.
